This logo features a tough, waterproof case sitting on the bottom of the ocean, and inside of it is a computer system with a built in battery. It was generated by ChatGPT. I began by inputting the prompt "generate a logo of a hard case computer running underwater", then I asked it to convert it to a 2d style with flat colors and no gradients. Finally, I told ChatGPT to add bubbles, waves, and kelp to really create an underwater effect. I then imported the logo to Notability to tweak the color scheme and simplify the intenral components.
For my final project, I designed a rugged cyberdeck using Onshape CAD software. The purpose is to build a portable, waterproof PC inside a Pelican case, optimized for use on a boat with offline access to GPS, maps, and Wikipedia. The front plate most be thin enough to fit in the case but thick enough to mount connectors and components. I began by designing the box, and then the basic electronics that make up the computer. I then laid them out how I wanted and created basic mounts using heat set inserts and friction fit to join different components. I initially struggled with not blocking the ports of the raspberry pi and battery pack with the model, but fixed it by splitting it up into various parts that can be assembled after printing. Finally, I designed the model to be made in different material hardnesses depending on the use, in order to protect electornics from vibrations or shocks during daily use.
